Spit-roast chicken with potatoes, the dish of the day

Rotisserie chicken

We have made it every day since 1962. They come off the spit at noon.

Prices

A whole chicken feeds four people. Prices do not change at weekends or on public holidays.

What pollastre a l'ast is

It is chicken roasted on a turning spit, with the fire beside it rather than underneath. It turns for hours, basting in its own juices: that is why the skin stays crisp and the meat does not dry out. It is not the same as an oven-roasted chicken, which cooks still and in dry heat.

How we make it

Same recipe since 1962. They go on the spit in the morning, roast slowly and come off at noon. We make them fresh every day, and when they are gone they are gone.

Do I need to order ahead?

You do not have to, but it is wiser. We roast a set number each day and when they are gone they are gone. Call us in the morning on +34 93 423 17 56 and we will keep one for you.

Takeaway

We are a rostisseria: there is no dining room. Pick it up, order by phone or WhatsApp, or have it delivered by Glovo if you are within three kilometres. It is an easy street to stop in: many customers come by car.
